Jacoya Thompson

JaCoya Thompson, PhD, currently serves as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Clemson University, beginning this role in November 2023. Previously, JaCoya held the position of Senior Program Coordinator at MAPSCorps from May 2022 to October 2023. Between September 2018 and June 2023, JaCoya worked as a Researcher at Northwestern University. Additionally, JaCoya contributed as a College Instructor at Shaw University for the year 2021 and participated in a Research Fellowship at Oak Ridge National Laboratory during the summer of 2021. Early in the career, JaCoya was a Mathematics Teacher with NC Public Schools from January 2014 to May 2016 and engaged as a Research Scholar at the National Science Foundation in the summer of 2015 and at NASA in the summer of 2013. JaCoya Thompson earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from Northwestern University, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a Master's degree in Mathematics from Fayetteville State University.
