Steven W. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Steven started their career with Toyota (GB) plc as a Sales & Service Representative in 2004. Steven then worked at NatWest as a Customer Service Officer/Switchboard Team Manager before joining RBS. At RBS, they held various roles such as Learning & Development Consultant, Lean Change Agent, Senior Lean Change Manager, and Senior Lean Practitioner Customer Experience. In 2015, they joined National Grid as the Performance Excellence Leadership & Capability Delivery Manager. Steven later joined JTI as the Global Re-Engineering Manager before working as a Black Belt Consultant at Zenith. Steven then joined Close Brothers Motor Finance as an Operational Excellence Lead (Interim) and eventually moved to Close Brothers as the OpEx Academy Lead. Steven W. has a strong background in operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Steven W. attended Chatham Grammar School for Boys from 1996 to 2001. After completing their secondary education, they enrolled in the Chatham Grammar School for Boys Sixth Form from 2001 to 2003. During their education, Steven did not obtain a specific degree or focus on a particular field of study.

In terms of additional certifications, Steven obtained various certifications throughout their career. In 2011, they obtained the LCS 2A certification from Cardiff University. In 2014, they obtained the ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance and the Service Definition, Measurement & Costing, Foundation certification from the British Quality Foundation. In 2015, they earned the Six Sigma Lean & DFSS Green Belt certification from the Aveta Business Institute. Furthermore, in 2017, Steven obtained the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the International Association for Continuing Education & Training (IACET). Lastly, in 2021, they obtained the Business Analytics: Decision Making Using Data certification from the Cambridge Judge Business School, and in 2023, they obtained the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt - Services Sector certification from the University of Bedfordshire.
