Ian Foertsch

Ian Foertsch has a long and varied work history, beginning in 2009 when they were a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Maine. In 2011, they worked as a Forest Technician at LandVest. In 2015, they were a Global Markets ADM Intern at State Street. From 2016 to 2021, they worked at NextCapital Group, first as a Lead DevOps Engineer I, then as a Lead Software Engineer, and finally as a Software Engineer. In 2021, they moved to Kazoo, where they were a Site Reliability Engineer. Currently, they are a Cloud Platform Engineer at Clumio, a position they have held since 2022.

Ian Foertsch obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Vermont between 2013 and 2015. Ian then obtained a Master's Degree in Forestry from the University of Maine between 2009 and 2011. In 2021, they obtained a Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification from The Linux Foundation. In 2022, they obtained a Google Associate Cloud Engineer certification from Google. In 2021, they also obtained an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
