Gee Salem

Gee Salem has over 7 years of professional experience. In 2020, Gee began working as a Finance and Operations Consultant and Logistics Office Manager for Code2040. Their roles included building long-term systems and infrastructure within the organization, researching and planning a makeover of operational systems, and identifying and deploying IT needs for the organization. In 2018, Gee worked as an Instructor for Girls Who Code, where they remotely communicated with staff, taught Computer Science content, and maintained an exciting and accessible classroom environment. From 2016-2018, Gee worked as a Music Curator and Social Media for Mideast Tunes, where they communicated with over 50 bands from the MENA region, conducted interviews, authored blog articles, and curated public playlists. Finally, from 2013-2016, Gee worked as an Office Manager for Communities United for Restorative Youth Justice, where they provided remote and in-office technical support, developed a community coffee shop operations system, and managed annual events with live entertainment.

Gee Salem attended California State University - East Bay from 2016 to 2018, where they obtained a degree in Computer Science.
