Michael Fairman

Michael Fairman has a diverse range of work experience in engineering and product development. Michael currently holds the position of Senior Engineer at Cognixion since February 2023. Previously, they worked at Conavi Medical as a Development Manager, overseeing the design and development of medical imaging devices. Before that, they worked as a Product Design Engineer at BionX International Corporation, where they led the mechanical systems and provided engineering support for hybrid electric machine drives. Michael also worked as a Mechatronics Engineer at Quanser, where they were involved in the mechatronic design and development of robotics products. Prior to that, they worked at Pratt & Whitney Canada as a Development Engineer and Mechanical Designer, coordinating engine builds and conducting detail designs of turbine engine components. Michael also has experience as an Application Engineer at Plasticair Inc., where they managed software development and conducted CAD work for HVAC systems. Michael began their career as an Engineering Intern/Research Assistant at Ryerson University, where they worked on various research projects, including a study on engine weight vs. parameters at Pratt & Whitney Canada.

Michael Fairman has a strong educational background in engineering and physics.
