Carrie Stearns, Ph.D. has held a variety of roles in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries since 2002. Carrie began their career as an intern at Merck&Co. in 2002. From 2008 to 2012, they worked as a Senior Marketing Manager at Philips Healthcare, where they were the Women's Healthcare Ultrasound business line leader for North America. In 2010, they joined Dendreon as a Senior Product Manager, Strategic Marketing and was responsible for strategic initiatives in the commercialization of PROVENGE. From 2012 to 2015, they were a Group Product Manager at Crescendo Bioscience, where they led strategy and execution of healthcare provider initiatives to drive market penetration of Vectra DA. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as the Director of Marketing, Brand Management & Promotions at Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc., where they led strategy and execution of digital / non-personal promotions, HCP and patient programming to drive uptake of CRYSVITA. Currently, they are the Vice President, Marketing & Commercial Strategy at Cognoa, where they are leading the way for pediatric behavioral health.

Carrie Stearns, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Whitman College. Carrie then went on to receive their Master of Science in Organic Chemistry from Cornell University. After that, they completed their Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business in 2008. Finally, they earned their Ph.D. in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from Cornell University.
