Senior EM Analysis Engineer at Commonwealth Fusion Systems

Akhdiyor Sattarov is a Senior EM Analysis Engineer at Commonwealth Fusion Systems, specializing in transient electromagnetic-thermal analysis and quench simulations of high-temperature superconducting magnets since June 2020. Prior to this role, Sattarov served as a Research Scientist at Texas A&M University from June 2011 to June 2020, leading computational physics efforts at an accelerator research lab and focusing on electromagnetic modeling and stress analysis. Additionally, Sattarov was an Associate Research Scientist at the Accelerator Research Lab, Texas A&M University, from September 2002 to June 2011, where expertise included numerical modeling of electromagnetic fields in superconducting magnets and structural heat transfer analysis. Sattarov earned a Ph.D in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the Institute of Nuclear Physics in Tashkent and a Master of Science in Computational and Applied Mathematics from St. Petersburg State University.
