Roxana Rubio has an extensive work experience in various communication and marketing roles. Roxana is currently working as the Deputy Director of Marketing and Communications at Educate Texas, a role they started in November 2022. Before that, they served as a Communications Strategist and Digital Communications Lead at Grand Prairie ISD from September 2021 to October 2022. Prior to this, they held positions at the City of Dallas, first as a Senior Public Affairs Officer from January 2020 to September 2021, and then as a Public Affairs Officer from January 2019 to January 2020. Roxana also has experience as a Communications and Development Coordinator at the Midland Children's Rehabilitation Center from October 2017 to December 2018. In addition, they have worked in the media industry, serving as a Multimedia Journalist/Anchor/Producer at KWES-TV NewsWest 9 from October 2015 to November 2017, and as a News Reporter/Multimedia Journalist at Telemundo 20 KTLE from October 2015 to October 2017. Roxana started their career as an intern at KENS 5 from June 2014 to December 2014 and has also worked as an Anchor/Producer at Our Lady of the Lake University from January 2012 to May 2014. Roxana has further gained experience through internships at KSAT12 from August 2013 to November 2013 and at Univision Communications Inc. in the Proyecto U 41 program from January 2013 to May 2013.

Roxana Rubio, MPA, obtained their Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from The University of Texas Permian Basin in 2022. Prior to that, they attended Our Lady of the Lake University from 2010 to 2014, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies. In addition to their degrees, Roxana also holds a certification in Group 2: Social and Behavioral Research, which they obtained in January 2022 from the CITI Program.
