Chris Burns

Chris Burns, CPHR, is an accomplished organizational development consultant currently working at Community Living BC since July 2021, focusing on transition support for organizational change, team development, coaching, and program design. Previous experience includes serving as an HR Generalist at the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research from November 2019 to December 2020, where responsibilities included HR programs, employee engagement, recruitment, and co-chairing a workplace pandemic response group. Chris also held senior HR roles at Vantage Airport Group from June 2012 to November 2019, providing HR support to airport managing directors and leading initiatives in recruitment and culture building. Additional positions include roles at McCarthy Tetrault, Naramata Centre, and Nordion, encompassing program coordination, HR support, and quality assurance training. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts from The University of British Columbia, a Diploma of Technology in Human Resource Management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and a certificate in Training and Facilitation from the Justice Institute of British Columbia.
