Position Summary

Application Engineers work as a member of the development team creating and maintaining software related to the CommunityWFM product offering.  They will collaborate with the team on software projects, design complex software programs and applications, and incorporate internal and external feedback in software product development.  They will document any features that they develop.

To ensure success as an application engineer, you should demonstrate advanced software development skills and extensive experience in determining software needs.  A top-notch application engineer will be someone whose software design expertise translates into user-friendly and highly efficient applications.

Responsibilities 

  • Build innovative solutions that make a difference for our customers
  • Create and improve the design, coding and testing for high-quality software
  • Own projects end-to-end, keeping teams and stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed
  • Document work by writing technical specifications, user specifications and test cases
  • Work with the Quality Assurance team to ensure the product requirements and designs are translated into relevant test cases and automated scripts
  • Analyzing existing systems to provide recommendations for improvement
  • Performing system risk and reliability analysis
  • Assessing new technologies before adoption and implementation

Requirements

  • Relevant bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1-3 years of experience in Cloud computing using the Microsoft stack (C#,  AWS)

  • Workforce management industry, including data collection and analysis, forecasting, scheduling, and reportingis a nice to have

  • Proficient in C#, JavaScript, jQuery, TSQL, Net and other object-oriented programming languages

  • Azure DevOps, Git practical knowledge

  • Docker, Containers, Message Queues knowledge would be a nice to have

  • Well versed in designing, debugging and documentation

  • Hands on experience with SQL Server

  • Knowledge of troubleshooting tools such as SQL Profiler, Fidler, Wireshark, Postman, and Web browser dev tools

  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communications skills

  • Ability to engage and collaborate at all levels of management

  • Aptitude in decision making and problem solving
