Andrea Stathopoulos

Andrea Stathopoulos, PhD, is currently a Senior Communications Advisor at Spire Communications, where responsibilities include managing communications for the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health and leading media strategies. With extensive experience in science communication, Andrea has served as a SciShow Script Writer for Complexly since 2020 and held roles at Verge Scientific Communications, counseling executives and crafting various content. As a former AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow at the National Science Foundation, Andrea led the communications team within the Directorate for Mathematical and Physical Sciences. Academic experience includes serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Wittenberg University and as an Adjunct Professor at Tallahassee Community College. Andrea's educational background features a PhD in Neuroscience from Florida State University and a BA in Biology and Psychology from DePauw University.
