Thomas Moutinho PhD has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. Thomas began as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2011, and then served as an Engineering Research Intern at the University of Virginia in 2012 and 2013. In 2014, they became a Peer Learning Assistant at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute. In 2015, they began their PhD Candidate role at the University of Virginia. In 2019, they served as an Engineering Intern at Cerillo, performing an experimental diagnosis of an issue with Cerillo's flagship product and designing and executing a solution for the diagnosed problem which was subsequently patented. In 2021, they began their current role as Scientist II at Conagen.
Thomas Moutinho received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biomedical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2015. Thomas then went on to pursue their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia Department of Biomedical Engineering, which they completed in 2021.
