Blair Ernest

Director, Corporate Instructional Technologies at Conestoga College

Blair Ernest has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Corporate & Instructional Technologies at Conestoga College, where they are responsible for overseeing IT systems and equipment in various spaces. Prior to this, Blair worked at the Waterloo Region District School Board in various roles, including Manager of Information Technology Services and Supervisor of IT Infrastructure and Software Development and Server Support. They also briefly worked as a Software Development Manager at LifeLearn, Inc. and as a Customer Service Specialist at Camp-Out RV. In their earlier career, Blair held various managerial and leadership positions at BlackBerry, where they were responsible for the operations and management of software development tools and services, as well as the development and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Before joining BlackBerry, Blair worked at MKS as an R&D Manager and Project Manager, and at NCR as a Project Manager and QA professional. They also gained experience as a Certification Test Engineer and Technical Facilitator at the Canadian Standards Association. Throughout their career, Blair has demonstrated expertise in IT infrastructure, software development, project management, and quality assurance.

Blair Ernest attended the University of Waterloo from 1992 to 1997, where they obtained a B Math degree. Their field of study was Business Administrations with a focus on Information Systems (Co-op program).
