Mercy O.

Mercy O. has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. In 2023, they worked as a Research Coordinator at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. Prior to that, from 2022 to 2023, they served as a Marketing Communication Assistant for the Ward 5 Democrats Executive Board. In the same year, they also worked as an Executive Secretary for the DC Federation of College Democrats and as a Legislative Assistant at Congressional Quarterly.

Mercy's work experience in 2021 and 2022 includes roles such as a Lobbyist for the American Business Immigration Coalition (ABIC) and the Presidents' Alliance on Higher Education and Immigration. Additionally, Mercy has interned at the U.S. House of Representatives for Representative Hank Johnson and has worked as a Peacebuilding Fellow at the U.S. Department of State's Office of Global Women's Issues.

Mercy O. began their education at Druid Hills High School where they obtained a College Prep Diploma from 2015 to 2019. After high school, they attended DeVry University from 2017 to 2019 and earned an Associates of Applied Science (AASc) in Network and System Administration/Administrator. Following their time at DeVry, Mercy O. pursued higher education at Trinity Washington University from 2019 to 2022. There, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Government and International Affairs. In 2022, Mercy O. briefly attended The Catholic University of America to study French Language and Literature, although no degree was mentioned for this period.
