Meghan Castellano

Manager, Interconnection & Transmission at ConnectGen

As Manager for Interconnection & Transmission of the Eastern Region, Meghan Castellano is the primary contact for ConnectGen’s generator interconnection positions. Her responsibilities include managing interconnection requests throughout the study process, keeping a pulse on transmission regulatory developments that impact the interests of the company by engaging with relevant stakeholder groups, and coordinating the library of load flow models used for internal evaluation.

Having started her career in 2014, she participated in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas’s year-long Engineer Development Program before moving to the northeast to join New York Independent System Operator, Inc. Installed Capacity Market Operations team – which is responsible for facilitating New York’s $2.5 billion wholesale capacity market. Over the next six years, she became a subject matter expert for all things related to the diverse portfolio of New York’s generation resources, while supporting the administration and execution of the various installed capacity market auctions.

Meghan holds a B.S. in Engineering & Management from Clarkson University, with a concentration in Sustainable Energy Systems Engineering.
