JOB PURPOSE

The Search Marketing Manager will be responsible for the execution of a wide range of client projects and deliverables across multiple verticals within the paid search discipline.  This person will have ownership of all day-to-day management of paid search campaigns as well as all campaign set up, optimization and reporting.  This is a client-facing role that reports to the Group Media Director.  

Campaign Strategy Implementation

  • Planning, executing and managing Paid Search campaigns, including but not limited to account setup, strategy development, account structure, creative development and keyword buying

  • Actively researching clients' brands and industries to gain a deep understanding clients’ business goals to achieve results through Paid Search

  • Reviewing and analyzing competitive sites

  • Developing Paid Search plans leveraging input from media and brands teams to integrate within cross-channel marketing efforts

  • Periodically aiding in strategy development for new business opportunities

Campaign Management and Reporting

  • Managing daily campaign budgets and optimizations to copy, landing pages and keyword bids

  • Monitoring, tracking and evaluating campaign performance based on client KPIs and baselines

  • Developing insight-rich reporting on front-end search engine data, conversion data and on-site performance

  • Presenting campaign findings and opportunities to clients

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Day to day management of all Paid SEM Campaigns

  • Onboarding new Paid SEM Clients

  • PPC Campaign Set-up

  • PPC Campaign Optimization

  • PPC Campaign Reporting

  • Management of multiple remarketing campaigns

  • Work in concert with traditional and digital media planners and buyers to include Paid Search seamlessly into proposed media plans and strategies

  • Leverage digital marketing analytics across multiple mediums to help inform marketing optimization decisions

  • Interface directly with clients to provide clarity around paid search performance

    • Ability to understand a wide range of business requirements and apply Paid SEM to meet those requirements with budgets of varying sizes
      • Ability to concisely explain campaign performance to clients of varying levels of expertise
      • Ability to multi task at the highest level
      • Ability to work with internal media managers to ensure timely approvals, development of creative assets and the proper trafficking of information
      • Ability to leverage Google Analytics to gain performance insights necessary to make campaign and general, digital marketing optimizations
  • Professional Certification:

    • Google AdWords Certification
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience managing multiple PPC Campaigns at once in a variety of verticals
