Michael Riley Cgma

Michael Riley has extensive work experience in the financial industry, particularly in investment accounting and information systems management. Michael is currently serving as a Vice President of Investment Accounting at Conning. In this role, they oversee the management of back-office and corporate functions, including the investment data warehouse supporting over $100 billion in assets. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Engineer at Ruark Consulting, where they were responsible for upscaling architecture and implementing a custom data analytics system. Michael also served as a Project Manager and advisor on agile implementation.

Before joining Ruark Consulting, Michael held various positions at Conning, including Vice President of Information Systems. In this role, they managed a DBA/Developer team and was responsible for the project SDLC and change management to SQL platforms. Michael also played a key role in managing the migration of data between the investment systems of MetLife and Conning Asset Management, following MetLife's acquisition of CitiGroup. Michael also worked at CitiGroup Asset Management as a Director of Investments, overseeing multiple systems supporting $90 billion in assets.

Their career in the financial industry began at Travelers, where they held increasingly responsible positions, ultimately serving as an IT Director in the Investments department. Prior to Travelers, Michael worked as a Staff Internal Auditor at Hartford National Bank. Overall, Michael Riley brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to their roles, with a strong focus on investment accounting and information systems management.

Michael Riley CGMA, CSM holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from UMass/UConn, which they obtained from 1975 to 1979. Additionally, they obtained a High School Diploma in General Studies from Conard High School in West Hartford, CT from 1972 to 1975. Furthermore, they obtained the Certified ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance in May 2016, and the Certified Public Accountant certification from the State of Connecticut in 1982.
