Chantal Penning

Chantal Penning has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Chantal is currently working at ConsenSys, where they are the Product Marketing Lead for MetaMask. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Product Marketing Manager for MetaMask at ConsenSys. Chantal also worked at Facebook as a Product Marketing Manager for APAC, where they were responsible for communicating and growing new products and updates across the region. Chantal also worked as a Client Solutions Manager at Facebook, assisting advertisers in using the right solutions and products for their advertising needs. Chantal has experience in entrepreneurship as well, having co-founded Avenir. Additionally, they have been involved in the blockchain community as a Co-Organizer of Women in Blockchain Singapore. Earlier in their career, Chantal worked as a Digital Account Manager at OMD Australia, where they created digital marketing strategies for McDonald's and specialized in mobile app marketing and social media strategy. Chantal has also held digital planning roles at OMD Nederland and worked as a TV Producer at Warner Bros International Television Production. Chantal began their career as a Program Services Coordinator at Seven Network Limited and gained early experience as an intern for social media conferences at Openbook Consulting Group.

Chantal Penning holds a Master's degree in International Business from the University of Sydney, which they earned from 2009 to 2010. Chantal previously received a Bachelor's degree in Media & Entertainment Management from Inholland University of Applied Sciences from 2004 to 2008. Chantal also completed their freshman year at Lynn University in 2003. Their secondary education was completed at Rijnlands Lyceum Wassenaar, where they studied Economics and Social Sciences and received a VWO degree from 1997 to 2003. Chantal has obtained additional certifications, including an Introduction to Digital Currencies certificate from the University of Nicosia in December 2019 and a Masterclass Certificate in Strategic Marketing & Entrepreneurship from Hogeschool InHolland in December 2011.
