Duncan Chen's work experience begins in 1990 as a Product Manager at Knowledge Tech, where they focused on developing Chinese-based spreadsheet and text editor software. Duncan then served as an Instructor at Chung Yuan Christian University from 1992 to 1994. Following that, they worked as an MIS Manager at BoardTeck, implementing various automated systems and leading the company to ISO9000 certification. In 1997, Duncan joined FNC Inc. as their Chief Technology Officer, and 18 years later, CoreLogic acquired FNC for $475M. Duncan then moved on to become the VP of Technology R&D at CoreLogic, responsible for transforming data assets into actionable insights. Currently, Duncan is the Chief Technology Officer at mTrade, a position they have held since 2019.

Duncan Chen holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Mississippi, which they obtained from 1994-1997. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Production and Operations Management from Tunghai University from 1986-1988. Duncan also holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Industrial Engineering from Tunghai University, which they obtained from 1982-1986. In addition, they have a certification as a System Analyst from the Taiwan Department of Economic Affairs, obtained in 1989.
