Rachael Andrew

Rachael Andrew has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Rachael is currently the Director and Legal Counsel at Cortland Credit Group Inc., a position they have held since December 2022. Prior to this role, Rachael worked as a Lawyer at the same company from June 2021 to December 2022.

Before joining Cortland Credit Group Inc., Rachael served as an Associate at Dentons, starting in September 2018 and ending in June 2021. In this role, they specialized in banking and finance, representing both borrowers and lenders. Rachael also had experience with insolvency, restructuring, and commercial litigation. In addition to their legal experience, Rachael has volunteered as a Mediator at small claims cases through the Osgoode Hall Mediation Program. Rachael facilitated negotiations and settlement discussions on a range of disputes at Sheppard Small Claims Court and Brampton Small Claims Court. Rachael actively contributed to expanding the volunteer mediation program at the Brampton Small Claims Court. Rachael held this volunteer role from September 2015 to October 2016.

Rachael also gained legal experience as a Summer Law Student at Dentons in 2016 and 2015. Additionally, they worked as a Caseworker in Criminal Law at the Community & Legal Aid Services Program (CLASP) from January 2015 to April 2015.

Before pursuing their legal career, Rachael worked as a Sales Associate at Golf Town from May 2011 to August 2014. Rachael also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Western University from September 2013 to April 2014.

Afterward, Rachael attended York University - Osgoode Hall Law School from 2014 to 2017 to earn their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree. Their field of study during this time was focused on Law.
