Thomas Herrera

Thomas Herrera is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community affairs, education, and public policy. Currently serving as a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations and an Adjunct Lecturer at The City University of New York, Herrera teaches courses in History, Latin American Studies, Political Science, and Economics. As a Senior Community Affairs Manager at L+M Development Partners Inc. since 2019, Herrera advocates for underrepresented communities in Northern Manhattan and the Bronx. Previous roles include Community Affairs Manager for the City of New York and Teacher of US History at the NYC Department of Education. Herrera holds a Masters in Public Administration from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, a Masters of Science in Global Affairs from New York University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from The College of New Rochelle.
