Head of Culture Transformation at Culture Shift

Vicki Baars has extensive experience in the field of equality, diversity, and inclusion. Vicki is currently serving as the Head of Culture Transformation at Culture Shift, where they help partners identify and address issues of bullying, harassment, discrimination, and sexual misconduct. Vicki provides expert advice and guidance on the prevention of such behaviors and supports partners in navigating complex equality, diversity, and inclusion challenges.

Before joining Culture Shift, Vicki worked at UCL as an Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Manager. In this role, they led efforts to address bullying, harassment, sexual misconduct, and other oppressive behaviors through proactive campaigns, training, and education. Vicki also supported LGBTQ+ initiatives at UCL.

Prior to UCL, Vicki held the position of Strategy and Review Manager - Sexual Harassment at Goldsmiths, University of London. Vicki was responsible for managing strategies and reviews related to sexual harassment.

Vicki also worked at Queen Mary University of London as a Diversity & Inclusion Officer. In this role, they provided specialist advice on equality, diversity, and inclusion matters and played a key role in supporting academic departments committed to gender equality.

Earlier in their career, Vicki served as the Equality, Diversity & Liberation Co-ordinator (Representation & Campaigns) at UCLU, where they coordinated student equality, diversity, and liberation work. Vicki also worked at the National Union of Students as the Vice President Union Development and LGBT Officer, representing NUS at events and advising student unions on democracy, governance, and LGBT student issues.

Vicki's work experience also includes roles at Leeds Beckett Students' Union, where they served as the Associate President Diversity and Associate President Welfare and Campaigns. In these positions, they led diversity projects, initiatives, and events, and represented the diverse student population within the university and local community.

Throughout their career, Vicki Baars has demonstrated a strong commitment and expertise in promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in various organizational settings.

Vicki Baars attended Leeds Beckett University from 2006 to 2012, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences, with a focus on General Studies.
