Anita Bates

Anita Bates has a diverse and extensive work experience. Anita has worked at CVS Group Plc since 2015, where they initially served as the Buying Groups National Sales Manager from December 2015 to December 2017. Anita then took on the role of Buying Groups Director from January 2018 to November 2020, where they were responsible for adding value to membership and supporting independently run veterinary practices. Currently, they are the Commercial Director VetShare, MiVetClub, and Vet Direct, a position they have held since December 2020.

Prior to CVS Group Plc, Anita worked as the Business Manager at MiVetClub from October 2014 to November 2015. In this role, they ensured excellent service to members and recruited new members while exploring and improving services for the group.

Anita'searlier experiences include working at Practice Plan for Vets Ltd as a National Business Development Manager from January 2009 to October 2014, promoting pet health plans on a national level. Before that, they served as a Senior Account Manager at Intervet UK Ltd from January 2003 to December 2008.

Anita's career started at Rogers Brock and Barker Veterinary Surgeons, where they worked as the Head Vet Nurse from March 1992 to October 1999. Anita then moved on to roles as a Territory Manager at Hill's Pet Nutrition from January 2000 to May 2002 and at National Veterinary Services from May 2002 to December 2002.

Anita Bates completed their education with a Certificate in Applied Animal Behaviour from the University of Southampton from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a Veterinary Nursing Certificate from South Staffordshire College between 1992 and 1994. Anita attended Blythe Bridge High School and Sixth Form College from 1983 to 1990, where they obtained A levels. Anita also received an additional certification in Applied Animal Behaviour from the University of Southampton.
