Fiorella Murillo Perez

Fiorella Murillo Perez has extensive work experience in the field of medical research and evidence generation. Fiorella is currently working at CymaBay Therapeutics as the Associate Director of Medical Affairs Evidence Generation & Real-World Evidence. Prior to this, they were a Research Associate at The Hospital for Sick Children. Fiorella also held positions as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Research Associate at the Toronto Centre for Liver Disease. In addition, they gained valuable experience as a Summer Research Student at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

Fiorella Murillo Perez holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam, which they obtained from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Medical Clinical Sciences/Graduate Medical Studies from the University of Toronto from 2016 to 2018. Their educational journey began at York University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical Sciences from 2011 to 2016. In addition to their academic achievements, Fiorella Murillo Perez also holds a certification as a Canada GCP-Research Coordinator/Assistant from the CITI Program, which they obtained in October 2022.
