Hank Courson

Hank Courson is the current CFO at Matrix LMS. Prior to joining Matrix, Hank served as the CFO at HawkEye 360 for two years. In this role, Hank was responsible for developing a lean but responsive global Finance and Accounting team, implementing an ERP system, and advising the CEO and Board in achieving $0 to $20 million in top-line revenue and revenue backlog in 12 months. Hank also successfully completed a $75 million Series B funding round with a 10x increase in pre-money equity valuation over Series A.

Prior to HawkEye 360, Hank was the President & Founder of StratLEV Advisors, LLC. In this role, Hank provided strategic and financial consulting services to early-stage companies in the technology, healthcare, and life sciences industries.

Hank has over 20 years of experience in finance, accounting, and strategy. Hank holds a BA in Economics from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Duke University.

Hank Courson received their BS from the University of Houston in Political Science, Economics, and German Studies. Hank then went on to get their Executive Management Program from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business. Hank also has a Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. and a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) from the Association for Financial Professionals.

They are on a team with Armando Rangel - VP, Sales & Edtech, Alina Toderascu - VP, Marketing, and Iyad Jabri - CTO. Their manager is Graham Glass, CEO & Founder.
