Jake Shinabarger

Jake Shinabarger has held various roles throughout their work experience. Jake is currently serving as the Vice President- Credit Opportunities at The D. E. Shaw Group since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Real Estate/ Property Management as the Owner and Asset Manager from February 2006 onwards. Jake also worked at Morgan Stanley Investment Management as the Vice President- Head Trader- Investment Grade Credit from October 2019 to February 2022. Before that, they worked at Goldman Sachs in various roles, including Investment Grade Credit Trader - Associate, Investment Grade Credit Trader - Analyst, and Short Term Interest Rate Sales - Analyst, from April 2013 to October 2019. Jake has also gained experience at Michigan State University as the Lead Portfolio Manager and Equity Analyst/ Active Voting Member, and at Michigan MultiFamily Asset Managers as a Financial Analyst. Additionally, they served as a Consultant at Student Consulting for Non-Profit Organizations and as an MSU College of Human Medicine Surgery Department Researcher at Sparrow Health System.

Jake Shinabarger attended Michigan State University from 2009 to 2013, where they pursued a dual degree program. Jake earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the Eli Broad Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the College of Social Science.
