Ben B. has a diverse range of work experience in various industries and roles. Ben is currently the Vice President of Innovation and Research at the Dallas Regional Chamber since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Principal at Bhatti Strategies LLC from July 2020 to May 2023.

In 2011, Ben joined EDUCAUTION FILMS, Inc. where they served as the Producer and Chief Operations Officer. During their tenure, they produced a documentary on college debt and the pursuit of the "American Dream", which premiered at the 2014 SXSWedu Film Festival and screened at multiple prestigious universities and film festivals. Ben also created a financial literacy edition of the documentary for educational institutions across the United States. Ben left the company in May 2023.

From 2018 to 2021, Ben served as the Chief Executive Officer of Sizzle App. Prior to this, they worked as a Public Education Policy Advisor for the Office of Texas Governor Greg Abbott from 2015 to 2017 and as a Policy Analyst for the Texas Senate from 2012 to 2013.

Ben's work experience also includes serving as the Chief Operations Officer of Group Excellence from 2004 to 2011. Ben briefly worked as a Public Interest Law Initiative for the Lawyers' Committee for Better Housing in 2008, where they represented underserved clients in eviction and foreclosure cases. In 2007, they were an Education Pioneers Fellow at the KIPP Foundation and from 2003 to 2005, they were a Corps Member for Teach For America.

Ben B. attended Garland Christian Academy from 1986 to 1999 and earned a High School diploma. Ben went on to attend Southern Methodist University from 1999 to 2003, where they achieved a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Magna Cum Laude with Distinction. During their undergraduate studies, Ben majored in Psychology and minored in Philosophy and Cultural Anthropology. Later, they pursued a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from the SMU Dedman School of Law, completing their studies from 2006 to 2009.
