Filip Schouwenaars

Filip Schouwenaars has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Filip is currently working at DataCamp as the VP of Product and Engineering, leading the design, development, and GTM for DataCamp Workspace. Prior to this, they worked as a Lecturer at Thomas More from September 2020 to August 2021. Filip also worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Magics Instruments from March 2020 to December 2020, and as a Product Manager at LynxCare, Inc. from March 2020 to May 2020. Before that, they served as the CTO at SweepBright from June 2019 to January 2020. Filip also has significant experience at DataCamp, where they worked as an Engineering Lead from April 2018 to September 2018, as the VP of Engineering from September 2017 to March 2018, and as an Engineering Lead from September 2015 to August 2017. Filip started their career at DataCamp as a Software Engineer from October 2014 to August 2015. Prior to DataCamp, Filip worked as a Tutor at Sagio from November 2012 to March 2014. Filip also had internships as an R&D Intern at Technicolor in August 2013 and at Dematic in August 2012.

Filip Schouwenaars has a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from KU Leuven, which they obtained from 2008 to 2011. Filip then pursued their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Electrical Engineering, Multimedia and Embedded Systems at KU Leuven from 2012 to 2013. In 2011, they participated in an exchange program at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), where they focused on Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. Additionally, they completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree specializing in Artificial Intelligence at KU Leuven from 2013 to 2014, and also took a selection of courses at the Faculty of Economics and Business during the same period.
