Dan Geiger

Dan Geiger has a wealth of experience in the People Operations and Recruiting fields. Dan began their career in 2005 as the SOAR Guest Program Coordinator at the University of Wisconsin Madison. In 2007, they became an Office Administrative Assistant at Conifer Research. In 2010, they moved to Obtiva as a Recruiting/Office Coordinator. In 2011, they became a Tech Recruiter at Groupon. In 2012, they joined Foursquare as a Technical Recruiter. In 2013, they became a Technical Recruiter at Bonobos. In 2015, they joined BuzzFeed as a People Operations Manager, and was later promoted to Senior Manager, People Operations & Data. In 2022, they were hired as the Director of People Operations at Datapeople. During their time at BuzzFeed, they were the project leader for the HuffPost acquisition, integration, and subsequent reduction in force, the project leader for BuzzFeed's SPAC and simultaneous acquisition/integration of Complex Networks, the data analyst and project lead for BuzzFeed's Return To Office working group, and expanded the People Data team to increase workforce data and analysis to all of BuzzFeed. At Bonobos, they singlehandedly grew the Engineering team from 3 to over 30.

Dan Geiger obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian Language + Civilization from the University of Wisconsin-Madison between 2003 and 2007.
