Massimiliano Fratini has a diverse and extensive work experience in the IT industry. Massimiliano is currently serving as the Managing Partner - CTO at CogiTa since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Delphix from November 2015 to February 2019, first as the Senior Solution Architect & Customer Success Manager South EMEA, and then as the Senior Presales Engineer Manager EMEA. In these roles, they built trusted advisor relationships with technical leaders, provided pre-sales and post-sales support, and designed Data as a Service solutions.

Prior to their time at Delphix, Massimiliano worked at Accenture from April 2008 to October 2015. During their tenure, they held positions as a Manager and Senior Consultant. In these roles, they were responsible for various activities such as network service management, presales, delivery of projects for Telecom Service Providers, and operations transformation consulting. Massimiliano also played a significant role in the transformation programs of European Tier1 Telecom Operators' infrastructures.

Before joining Accenture, they worked as a Project Manager at EUTELIA SPA, Eunics, and Bull Italia S.p.A. - Competence Centre Telco. Massimiliano also served as a Team Leader and System Architect at Bull Italia S.p.A., where they worked from January 2000 to December 2004. Additionally, Massimiliano gained experience as a Software Designer at Ericsson S.p.A. and completed a fellowship on VoIP Telecommunication at Co.Ri.Tel. Their areas of expertise include network engineering, solution architecture, virtualization, cloud technologies, and software design.

Massimiliano Fratini attended the University of Rome Tor Vergata from 1990 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Computer Engineering degree with a specialization in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. Prior to their university education, they attended I.T.I.S Enrico Fermi from 1984 to 1989, but no degrees or fields of study were specified during this time. In terms of additional certifications, Massimiliano has earned various qualifications throughout their career. Massimiliano obtained the ITIL® 2011 Expert: Managing Across the Lifecycle certification from APMG-International in October 2015. In June 2015, they also obtained the ITIL® 2011 Intermediate: Continual Service Improvement, ITIL® 2011 Intermediate: Service Operation, ITIL® 2011 Intermediate: Service Design, ITIL® 2011 Intermediate: Service Strategy, and ITIL® 2011 Intermediate: Service Transition certifications from APMG-International. Moreover, they obtained the ISO/IEC 20000 Lead Auditor certification from the British Standards Institute BSI-KSA in December 2014. Additionally, they earned the IBM Tivoli Netcool certification from IBM in June 2011, the CA Business Service Insight certification from Computer Associates (CA) - XECA in February 2011, the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management Partner Sales Enablement certification from BMC Software in September 2010, the BMC Remedy IT Service Management & Atrium CMDB certification from BMC Software in April 2010, the ISO/IEC 20000 IT Service Management according certification from EXIN in April 2010, the BMC BladeLogic certification from BMC Software in December 2009, and the ITIL v3 Foundation Certification from APMG-International in May 2008.
