Christine Matthews

Christine Matthews, Ph.D., CPSM has extensive work experience in procurement and strategic planning roles. Christine has held positions at various companies, including Dentsply Sirona, BD, The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, World Trade Center Institute, and Johnson & Johnson Health and Wellness Solutions, Inc. At Dentsply Sirona, they led the global sourcing organization and achieved significant savings and supplier reductions. Christine also provided leadership and advisory support at the World Trade Center Institute, facilitating program expansion. At BD, they led sourcing teams and achieved budget targets for direct and indirect spend. At The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, they led new product sourcing and developed category strategies. Additionally, at Johnson & Johnson Health and Wellness Solutions, Inc., they managed external contract manufacturers, led strategic planning efforts, and achieved savings through negotiated agreements. Christine has a Ph.D. and is a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).

Dr. Christine Matthews holds a Ph.D. in Business Engineering, which they obtained from Technische Universität Berlin in 2003. Christine also holds a Master of Science degree in Packaging, with a Fulbright Scholarship, from Michigan State University, which they completed from 1997 to 1999. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Business Engineering from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin from 1990 to 1995. Dr. Matthews has pursued further professional development through certifications, including the Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from the Institute for Supply Management. Christine has also obtained certifications in project management, career planning, creating a positive and healthy work environment, handling workplace bullying, and green belt certification in supply chain management.
