Simon Tran Hudes

Simon Tran Hudes is a Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Department of State, with extensive experience in international trade and policy analysis. Previous roles include serving as Trade Policy Research Coordinator for Southeast Asia and Pacific Affairs at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, and as a Research Associate in the Southeast Asia Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Hudes has contributed to significant publications and analyses on regional issues, including the Myanmar coup and the impact of Covid-19 policies. Hudes holds a Master of Arts in Southeast Asian Studies and International Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from Lewis & Clark College.
