Mark Quitney is an accomplished Executive Chef with extensive experience in the culinary industry, currently serving at Des Moines Golf & Country Club since April 2021. At this historic club, Mark played a key role in its reopening during the Covid pandemic, overseeing the design and execution of a $7 million restaurant and fostering relationships with local farmers for fresh ingredient sourcing. Prior to this position, Mark served as Executive Chef at Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana, where Mark contributed to the production of 10,000 meals daily and designed an experimental kitchen for pop-ups. Mark's background includes leadership roles at prestigious establishments such as Metairie Country Club, Marriott International, Hilton Hotels Worldwide, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where Mark managed kitchen operations and revamped culinary offerings. Mark holds degrees in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America and completed advanced training at the School for American Chefs at Beringer Vineyards.
