Desirée Quinn

Desirée Quinn's work experience includes a role as a Research & Evaluation Fellow at the Detroit Institute of Arts since September 2022. Desirée is also currently working as a Challenge Detroit Fellow since September 2022. Previously, they served as a Program Coordinator at the Hazel Park Promise Zone & College Access Network from June 2021 to August 2022. Before that, they worked as a College Adviser at the MSU College Advising Corps from August 2020 to June 2022. Desirée has also held various roles at the Goldfish Swim School Franchising, including Deck Supervisor, Front Desk Representative, and Swim Instructor & Swim Force Coach, from April 2019 to July 2020. Desirée worked as a Service Center Representative Lead (Level 3) and Service Center Representative (Level 1) at Michigan State University from March 2019 to May 2020 and from March 2016 to March 2019, respectively. Desirée was an Education Intern at the MSU Museum from September 2019 to December 2019. Additionally, they gained field experience in archaeology as an Archaeological Field Student at the Belize Valley Archaeological Reconnaissance Project in June 2019 and as an Archaeological Field Student and Campus Archaeology Research Intern at the MSU Department of Anthropology from June 2017 to July 2017 and from August 2017 to April 2018, respectively. Desirée's earlier work experience includes a role as a Sales Associate at Office Depot from September 2016 to February 2018.

Desirée Quinn pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology, Environmental Studies and Sustainability, and Museum Studies at Michigan State University from 2015 to 2020. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including Aquatic Wild from the Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies in April 2021, Project Learning Tree from the Sustainable Forestry Initiative Inc. in December 2019, Michigan Environmental Education Curriculum (MEECS) from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy in November 2019, and an IB Diploma from the International Baccalaureate in July 2015.
