Aleksandar Panic

Aleksandar Panic has extensive experience in disaster preparedness, response coordination, and information management. Aleksandar has worked with organizations such as the German Red Cross, Red Cross Society of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Swiss Red Cross in various roles, including Head of Office, Program Manager, and Disaster Management/Information Management Officer. Aleksandar has also served as an independent consultant, providing consulting services and training in water treatment, logistics, environmental protection, and information management to local Red Cross and authorities. Prior to their work in the humanitarian sector, Aleksandar worked as a Laboratory Technician, Field Supervisor, and Water Treatment Plant Operator.

Aleksandar Panic completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Water Technology from The College of Applied Technical Science Arandjelovac – CATAR, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. During this time, they also pursued further knowledge in Water and Waste Water Treatment at WaterWorldCE, although no specific degree was mentioned. Additionally, they studied Economics at the College of Applied Sciences and Legal, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree. In 2016, Aleksandar attended the Faculty for Criminal Justice, Criminology, and Security - Sarajevo, focusing on Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management, but no degree was specified. Later, from 2016 to 2017, they pursued Specialist Studies in Environmental Engineering Technology/Environmental Technology at The College of Applied Technical Science Arandjelovac – CATAR.

In terms of certifications, Aleksandar obtained the IMPACT certification from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies - IFRC in September 2022. Aleksandar also received the eVCA ToT certification from Deutsches Rotes Kreuz e.V. | German Red Cross in August 2022. Prior to these certifications, they obtained a General Industry Safety & Health certification from OSHA in February 2008.
