Franziska Kellerhaus has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Franziska began their career in 2008 as an intern at Global Witness and Central American Parliament. In 2009, they interned at Friedrich Ebert Foundation and also worked as a Student Assistant at the University of Twente. In 2010, Franziska joined the World Food Programme as a Public Information Assistant and later moved on to UNHCR as a Finance and Administration Assistant. In 2012, they joined Malteser International and worked as a Project Assistant and Partner Projects and Administration Officer. From 2013 to 2017, Franziska served as the Syria Crisis Country Manager at Deutsches Rotes Kreuz. Franziska then took on the role of Regional Program Coordinator for the Middle East/North Africa region until 2018. From 2018 to 2020, Franziska served as Libya Country Manager at Deutsches Rotes Kreuz. Their most recent position is as the Lead Health Cluster at the same organization, which they have held since 2020. Additionally, Franziska also serves as the Head of Health Unit at Deutsches Rotes Kreuz starting in 2023.

Franziska Kellerhaus has a strong educational background in public administration, sustainable development, and international project management. Franziska began their education at the University of Münster, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration with a special emphasis on European Studies. This program provided their with the necessary skills to effectively manage projects in the field of development cooperation and humanitarian assistance. Franziska completed this program in 2012.

To deepen their knowledge in the field of public health, Kellerhaus enrolled in the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London. Here, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Public Health. This program provided their with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of public health, equipping their with the skills needed to address health challenges at a population level. Franziska completed their master's degree in 2022.
