Horace Nelson

Horace Nelson has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Horace most recently worked at Dictionary.com as the VP of Software Engineering starting in April 2022. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2022, Horace worked at Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. where they held various roles including Sr. Director of Digital Engineering, Principal Engineer, Director, and Consultant, Engineering Practices. At Madison Square Garden, they provided leadership and guidance in web development, application architecture, and DevOps, with deep investment in the AWS platform.

Before Madison Square Garden, Horace worked at ICAP as the US Head of UI Development from 2016 to 2017, where they built and led a new team of UI application developers. Horace also worked at Adcade as the Sr. Director of Web Engineering in 2015 and at AdPrime as the Vice President of Technology, CTO from 2013 to 2015. In these roles, they were responsible for managing product strategy, leading engineering efforts, and overseeing creative teams.

Horace's earlier experience includes working at Viacom Media Networks as the Manager of Software Development from 2006 to 2013, at TD Ameritrade as a Senior Front-End Developer from 2005 to 2006, at The Levy Economics Institute as the Web Director from 2003 to 2005, and as a Freelance Web Development Consultant from 2002 to 2003. Additionally, they worked at STL Technology Partners as a Senior Client-side Developer/XML Specialist in 2002.
