Tommy Conaway, CFI, CFE

Tommy Conaway, CFI, CFE has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Tommy began their career as an Armor Crewmember in the US Army from August 1992 to October 1996. After that, they joined Shoe Carnival in 1998 as a Regional Loss Prevention Manager. Tommy then transitioned to Dick's Sporting Goods, where they assumed various roles. From July 2007 to January 2012, they served as a District Loss Prevention Manager, implementing strategies to increase operational execution and conducting interviews for policy violations and criminal activity. Subsequently, Tommy became the Regional Director of Loss Prevention from January 2012 to June 2020, where they focused on identifying and resolving business vulnerabilities through risk and compliance auditing. Tommy also conducted investigations of insider threats and gathered evidence through employee interviews. From 2021 to 2023, Tommy worked as an IT Business Analyst at Tervis, and presently, they are serving as a Business Analyst at Dignari, LLC.

Tommy Conaway, CFI, CFE has a Bachelor of Science degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University. Tommy has also obtained several additional certifications including Associate of (ISC)², CompTIA Project+, EC-Council Certified Encryption Specialist (ECES), ITIL 4 Foundations Certificate, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI), CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA PenTest+, and CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+). The years of obtaining these certifications range from 2010 to 2021.
