David Barrow began his career as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer in the U.S. Air Force, responsible for maintenance operations supporting F-15 and U-2 aircraft. Attention to detail, leadership, and a willingness to do what is needed to get the job done set him up nicely to transition into a civilian career in commercial real estate.
David joined DPM after 15 years with CBRE|Richmond, where he was responsible for managing more than 10 million square feet of General Services Administration-leased properties across 160 locations in 38 states. He has managed office properties, retail centers, federal and state government-leased facilities, warehouses, flex, multi-family, mixed-use, and condominium properties. Responsive and genuine, commercial clients rely on David for a customized, proactive approach to helping them achieve their goals and objectives.
David came to Dodson for the opportunity to join an entrepreneurial firm and build something: the company’s emerging commercial division, which maintains over a million square feet of office space in Central Virginia and is quickly adding more spaces each day. David is a University of Alabama graduate and designated as a Certified Property Manager (CPM) through the Institute of Real Estate Management. He serves on its national Ethics Committee and Ethics Hearing and Discipline Board.
