Dr. Shezan Arefin has a diverse work experience in the field of power systems engineering and research. Dr. Shezan currently holds the role of Power Systems Engineer at Doosan GridTech, where they are responsible for power system modeling and analysis with various energy sources. Dr. Shezan specializes in battery and PCS sizing, as well as system design to support RFPs. Prior to this, Dr. Arefin worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Murdoch University, focusing on research in their field. Dr. Shezan also served as a Lecturer at the Engineering Institute of Technology and later as an Assistant Professor at Green University of Bangladesh. Dr. Arefin's research experience includes positions as a Research Scientist and Casual Academic Staff at RMIT University, as well as a Research Assistant at the University of Southern Queensland and the University of Malaya. Dr. Shezan began their career as a Graduate Electrical Engineer at Powerbreeze.
Dr. Shezan Arefin pursued their education in the field of renewable energy. In 2009, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Automation from Shenyang University of Chemical Technology. Dr. Shezan further pursued their undergraduate studies at Shenyang Huagong University, where they received a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in the same field in 2013. In 2013, Dr. Arefin went on to earn a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree specializing in Renewable Energy from the University of Malaya. Dr. Shezan'sacademic journey concluded with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Renewable Energy from RMIT University in 2020.
