Sotiria Lampoudi

Sotiria Lampoudi has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Sotiria is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Mast Reforestation, where they previously held the position of Director of Engineering. Prior to Mast Reforestation, Sotiria worked as an Advisor at the same company and also served as a Senior Software Engineer at DroneSeed, where they designed multi-UAV coordination algorithms for precision forestry. Additionally, Sotiria has served as the Chief Software Architect at Hefring Engineering, Lead Research Engineer at Evidation Health, Software Engineer at Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, Member of Technical Staff at Resonant Inc., and Data Engineer at Liquid Robotics. Sotiria also has research experience as an Assistant Researcher and Postdoc at the University of California, Santa Barbara and the University of California at San Diego. Sotiria started their career as a System Administrator at the University of Chicago.

Sotiria Lampoudi completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from the University of Chicago in 2002. Later, they pursued a PhD in Computer Science at UC Santa Barbara from 2002 to 2008. In addition to their academic accomplishments, they obtained certifications such as the National Limited Master 100/Limited OUPV from the U.S. Coast Guard in November 2019 and the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot: sUAS from the Federal Aviation Administration in June 2018.
