Manu de Rycker

Manu De Rycker currently serves as Head of Biology and Deputy Head of the Drug Discovery Unit at the University of Dundee, a position held since January 2025. Prior to this role, Manu held several key positions at the University of Dundee, including Head of Translational Parasitology and Team Leader for Neglected Diseases, from February 2009 to February 2025. Manu's early career includes experience as a Research Associate at Cancer Research UK from January 2005 to January 2009. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and a Bio-Engineer degree in Cell and Gene Biotechnology from Ghent University. Additional academic background consists of a Bachelor of Bio-Engineering from the University of Antwerp and a High School Diploma from Sint-Michielscollege Brasschaat.
