Charlie Belmer

Charlie Belmer has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities. In 2004, they began as a Market Research Intern at ZOLL Medical Corporation and concurrently worked as a Robotics Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In 2006, they joined GE and participated in their Information Technology Leadership Program, gaining experience in project management, operations, and technical roles. At GE, they worked as a Database Operations Engineer, where they maintained and improved production Oracle EBS instances. Charlie also led a small team as an Infrastructure Team Leader, streamlining server deployment processes and reducing project cycle time. In 2012, Charlie became the Director of Database & ERP Operations at GE Power & Water, overseeing a large operations and build organization. Charlie introduced Oracle EBS on Exadata and Exalogic. Charlie then joined Sandals Software Consulting in 2014 as the Managing Director, leading a global team and actively developing client applications. Charlie later worked at GE Power from 2014 to 2020, initially as the Director of Acquisition & Project Management software, where they played a key role in the technical integration for the acquisition of Alstom. Charlie then became the Director of Cloud Security & DevSecOps, creating and leading the SecDevOps organization for GE Power. Charlie's most recent work experience is at DuckDuckGo, where they currently hold the position of Director, Security Engineering.

Charlie Belmer attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science.
