Sherif Abdelrazek

Sherif Abdelrazek, Ph.D. PE has diverse work experience in the engineering field. Sherif is currently the Director of Renewables Engineering - Energy Storage & Microgrids at Duke Energy Corporation. Prior to this role, they served as the Renewables Engineering Manager, Lead Engineer, Senior Engineer, and Engineer III at the same company. Before joining Duke Energy Corporation, Sherif worked as an Engineer II at the company from 2015 to 2016. Sherif also worked as a Research Assistant & PhD Student at UNC Charlotte from 2013 to 2015. Sherif gained experience as a Project Engineer at Environmental Research and Consulting Co. "ERCC" in 2012. Additionally, they served as a Site Manager at Benaa Construcation from 2008 to 2010.

Sherif Abdelrazek, Ph.D. PE has an extensive education history in the field of Electrical Engineering. In 2005, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Power and Machines Engineering from Ain Shams University. Sherif continued their studies at the same university and earned a Master's Degree in the same field from 2005 to 2011. In 2012, Sherif pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, specializing in Electrical Engineering, and successfully completed their degree in 2016. During their time at UNC Charlotte, from 2013 to 2014, they also obtained a Master's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Additionally, Sherif obtained a certificate in the Fundamentals of Engineering from The American University in Cairo in 2012.

Furthermore, Sherif Abdelrazek has acquired the Professional Engineering certification from NCEES in December 2016.
