Octavio Hidalgo

Octavio Hidalgo has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Octavio started their career as an Economic Analyst Intern at Banco Central de Venezuela, where they played a vital role in designing reports and assessing monetary and fiscal policies. After that, they joined Sistemas de Energía de Venezuela as a Business Development professional, expanding the company's reach and maintaining relations with key clients. Later, Octavio worked as a Sales Development Coordinator at Google, exceeding quotas and consulting executives on leveraging Google's services. Currently, they are a Senior Strategic Engagement Executive at Duolingo, overseeing international relations and building partnerships with educational institutions and organizations worldwide. Throughout their career, Octavio has consistently met deadlines, exceeded client expectations, and demonstrated strong communication and strategic skills.

Octavio Hidalgo holds a Master's degree in International Business from Hult International Business School, which they obtained between 2014 and 2015. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics at Universidad Metropolitana (VE) from 2008 to 2013. Octavio has also obtained additional certifications, including "Economics & Society" from Paul Krugman and "The Art of Negotiation" from Chris Voss, both acquired through MasterClass in January 2021. Furthermore, they hold an English Proficiency Certificate from Universidad Metropolitana - UNIMET, which they attained in 2013.
