Within the Netherlands, National Opera & Ballet strives to keep opera and ballet traditions alive, and to generate enthusiasm while reaching a large and diverse public. Beyond the country’s borders, it serves to promote the finest the Netherlands has to offer in these areas.  National Opera & Ballet presents both traditional and innovative productions, often acting as the primary initiator and producer. As the largest cultural institution in our land, National Opera & Ballet brings all aspects of the ballet and opera-world’s artistry, technique and craftsmanship together with its own specialised workshops and rehearsal rooms.
