Yelena Yershova has held various roles throughout their work experience. Yelena currently serves as the Head of Enterprise applications at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water since November 2021. Yelena completed their CTO executive education at Cambridge Judge Business School from 2022 to 2023, focusing on Business Administration and Management, General. Before that, they pursued an MBA from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School via distant learning between 2008 and 2011.

In 1998, Yelena obtained an MA in Economics from the Institute of Management & Economics. Prior to that, they earned their MSc in Applied Mathematics & Computer Science from Pavlodar State University, where they also completed their Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics & Computer Science from 1993 to 1996.

Yelena has also obtained additional certifications, including the Cambridge Judge Business School, Chief Technology Officer Programme from Executive Education at Cambridge Judge Business School in October 2023. Yelena also completed a certification in Digital Disruption: Digital Transformation Strategies from Emeritus in July 2023.
