Vy Nguyen has worked in various roles since 2014. Vy began as a Math and Chemistry Tutor at San Jose City College. In 2017, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Microfluidic Research Lab at SJSU, where they studied biomechanical properties of red blood cells and used reduced red blood cell deformability as a biomarker for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. That same year, they were also a Senior Project at CardioLab, where they worked in a group of three students to study the efficiency of paravalvular leakage reduction in transcatheter aortic valve implants of a custom-designed stent with ePTFE sealant chamber. In 2019, they were a Research Associate II at Quantapore Inc., where they developed protocols for protein insertions to identify protein characteristics, stability, voltage dependence and step size electrically, and successfully purified functional proteins following the protocol provided by the scientist with minimal guidance. Currently, they are an Associate Scientist at Earli Inc.
Vy Nguyen attended San Jose State University from 2016 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering.
