Annie Burgess

Annie stands comfortably at the intersection of earth science and informatics. During her graduate work at the University of Utah, she managed, analyzed, and distributed an immense amount of data related to her research in snow hydrology. The primary data product created during her PhD is currently distributed through NASA JPL. As a post-doc at the University of Southern California, she expanded open-source software packages to better meet the needs of the science community. At ESIP, she utilizes her technical savvy and networking skills to run their innovation program, empowering scientists to pursue project-based design to expand their technical skills, while expanding our knowledge about planet Earth!
