Kirk Zmijewski

Kirk Zmijewski has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Kirk started their career at The Home Depot as an Inventory Management Specialist. Kirk then worked as a Graduate Researcher and Teaching Assistant at the University of Toledo while completing their M.S. in Geology. Kirk also worked as a GIS Consultant at GZA GeoEnvironmental, where they digitized maps for a project with the Department of Agriculture in the Philippines.

After that, Kirk joined Target as a Team Member and later moved on to The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Knowledge Analyst, Analytics Associate, and Data Scientist in the BCG Gamma Team, where they worked on telecom and energy network expansion optimization, salesforce territory redesign, and supply chain optimization.

Following their time at BCG, Kirk joined TellusLabs as a Data Scientist, where they built a living map of the world's food supply and supported the build-out of Kernel. TellusLabs was later acquired by Indigo Ag, and Kirk continued their work there as a Senior Data Scientist, Manager of Data Innovation, Senior Manager of GeoInnovation, and Staff Data Scientist. In these roles, they worked on irrigation quantification, macro-scale yield modeling using machine learning algorithms, and managed product requirements and data pipeline infrastructure.

Kirk also served in various roles at Bequall as a Technical Consultant and at the City of Malden, where they were a Conservation Commissioner and later became the Vice Chair of the Conservation Commission. Currently, Kirk is employed at EarthOptics as a Senior Data Science Engineer.

Kirk Zmijewski obtained their Associate of Science degree in General Science from Monroe County Community College from 2003 to 2009. Kirk then pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science at The University of Toledo, graduating in 2011. Following that, Kirk continued their education at The University of Toledo and completed their Master's of Science degree in Geology from 2011 to 2013.
